Part 1) GET TO LVL 20. You cannot complete the quest until you are level 20.

How to?

Well I was on Orc hill by DE town till lvl 10 then swamp in the "GRAVE YARD" (the big tower thing in the middle of the swamp) killing spiders and horrors until 15.
15-20 is the hardest I was in RoD for a while in the farmer's fields killing skeletons, and imps. Stay away from the ruins itself! Imps inside there are deadly (imp elders). Zombies cast fireballs that hurt if not careful. And watch out for bots that could be there. If you need extra cash talk to Curtis before heading out he's by one of the exits (Guard) he will send you to another npc just around the corner from him (to the right behind a building if you are facing out of the city towards curtis).

1-17 took me a day with bronze set and falchion.
17-20 took me 1 day with same equip and to do the class change then passed out after work.

Usually takes alot longer but I was power gaming (16 hours straight with only breaks to eat and sleep)

Part 2) First Tiral

In gludio you must talk to the Figher Master. He tells you to kill 13 Lycanthrope and get their skulls. They are found in the Neutral area north of Gludio.

REQUIREMENTS: 1 Scroll of Escape, 1 Map, No grade Soul shots, Nerves of steel.
LOCATION: 48.5 DOWN by 44.5 ACROSS beside the river.
DANGERS?: Spiders and the big raid boss. They did not argo me but they sure looked hungry. 13 are not hard to kill as long as you use lots of soulshots. 8 Adena a soulshot or 9 is easy price to pay when the mobs drop over 100.

Wander back to Gludio and talk to him again for trial 2.

Part 3) Second Trial

The first trial leads you to Abyssal Celebrant Kalinta of the DE guild in Gludin. Save yourself alot of headaches and PORT there, its a LONG walk. Once there she tells you to fight Trimden and Giant Poison Spiders.
I will tell ye this much…Trimden don't exist and there are no such mob named Giant Poison Spiders so hop back to Gludio (just trust me).
Run to the back of castle Gludio and jump off the land behind it and cross the river. Around there you shall see Arachnid Trackers and Poison Spiders.
Kill one Poison Spider and Five Trackers.

REQUIREMENTS: 1 Scroll of Escape, Map Not Needed, Soulshots Galore.
LOCATION: behind Gludio Castle Across the River.
DANGERS?: How about that big raid boss/monsters in the ring of stones. Level 35? I thought I would stay far away from it.

Scroll of Escape back to Gludio and port back to Gludin. Talk to Abyssal Celebrant Kalinta. She will yak on and on about things, all you gotta do is click the "SIGN YOUR NAME" at the bottom. What you have built is a coffin for yourself for when you die. Oh joy go back to Gludio and talk to master…again.

Part 4) VICTORY!

Talk to the master and he will give you a mark to give to the Grand Master and complete your class change. To complete the class change you need to talk to him and find out the class change information. When he prompts you for Assassin information or Palus Knight information click on Palus Knight and click on change profession.

DANGERS?: You are one scary character now, go USE IT! Drain health is your only attack spell for a while, USE IT! I was on a 4 hour rampage with it until the server went down for maintenance.

Words of Wisdom?: Don't worry about d-grade armor or jewlery unless you are rich right now. GET A FREAKING WEAPON! I borrowed one mil Adena from a friend of mine and afforded Duals.

Total time it took me: 1 hour of trying to figure out where to go.

After much digging and prodding, I've discovered how to endlessly enchant weapons. This can be done in a few instances, but I would only do it on the Wednesday resets (servers down from 1 PM - 3 PM ET)

Basically, attempt to enchant your weapon about 30 seconds before 2 PM. So 11:59.30. Or as close to the reset as possible. If the enchant is successful, LOG OFF. It will save your weapon. If it is not successful, DO NOT log off, and the server rolls back a minute or two and you still have your weapon.

Have fun! Go get some +15 weapons!

This tip comes straight from a Korean associate of mine who owns a powerleveling firm.

At ALL times he suggests level 20+ characters carry no fewer than 15 world maps on them. They have zero weight, so they won't impact other items you can carry. They also don't stack, so they each count as an individual item.

The idea is, if you do unfortunately get killed, it significantly increases the chance that you will drop a world map as opposed to a valuable item such as armor, jewelry or weapons. I found this to be an invaluable tip….I hope you all enjoy it as well!

To start out this is my first tutorial that I post here. I just recently got back from Iraq and can now finally get back into gamming. Well anyway I got this off a korean site that took me a while to translate If something are a little off please tell me as some thing can get lost in my translation of the language.

This is a Guide for the second job change that takes place in Lineage 2. The first mission you must be level 35 to start it. The second you must be level 37 and the last you must be at leasat level 39.

QUEST WALKTHROUGH

1. TRIAL OF DUTY
You begin in Giran Castle Town with Grandmaster Hannavalt located in the Fighter's Guild. He then sends you to the southern area of Wasteland to meet Sir Aaron Tanford. Go to the southern area of Wasteland, where there is a small hut. In this place you can meet Sir Aaron Tanford. He gives you a quest sword and sends you to kill wasteland hill's skeletons and return with the item Knight's Tears. Now equip the sword he gave you and go to kill the skeleton. Once you kill it, Sir Harod's Dead Spirit comes out, kill it too. Once it is dead you get the quest item "Knight's Tears". Now take this back to Sir Aaron Tanford. When you return to Aaron with the Knight's Tears, he sends you to Dion Castle Town to meet Sir Kiel Nighthawk. Once you get to Dion Town, go to the Dark Elf Guild where you can find him. Sir Kiel Nighthawk sends you to Execution Ground to kill Strains and Ghouls and return with a Report. Like usual you will have to collect a quest item (Torn Report Piece). When you collect ten of them they will combine into one complete report. Once you give Kiel Nighthawk the Report, he gives you a different quest item Orphic Mirror and tells you to go kill the monster Hanged Man Ripper( looks like a giant tree) and return with the Tears of Repentance. Once you kill enough Hanged Man Rippers, Telianus's Dead Spirit will appear, slay it as well. You will then earn the Tears of Repentance. To finish the second part of the mission take the Tears of Repentance to Kiel Nighthawk. After you return to Sir Kiel Nighthawk, he will send you off to Hunter's Town to meet Isabel Silver Shadow. Once you get there she is located outside on the left half of the city. You must be at a minimum level 36 or she will ignore you. She will give you another quest to go kill Leto Lizardman which will give you a quest item Relic (need 20 before returning to her). You can find these Leto Lizardman if you follow the road to the right of Isabel and pass the cave area where the three roads meet, there should be mobs of Lizardmen there. Return to Isabel when you have 20 relics and part 3 of your journey will be complete. Once you return the 20 relics to Isabel, she will send you to Giran Town to find Testin the priest. He is located at the temple to the right of the gatekeeper. Once you reach him, he will send you back to the starting point of Giran to meet Grandmaster Hannavalt where he will give you the quest item Duty's Voucher.

2. TEST OF FAITH

At Giran Castle Town go to the DE Guild building and talk to Magister Kaira. She will tell you to go talk to Monk Metheus who is in the same city by the east exit. He tells you to go to Execution Ground and find his little sister's remains. To do this you have to hunt the monster Hanged Man Ripper again, you usually only have to kill one this time to get her remains. Return the remains to Metheus and he will tell you to go to Master Ixia in Dion Castle Town. Ixia will be in Dion's Dark Elf guild building. Ixia will tell you to collect 5 ingredients: Medusa's Blood, Swamp Spider's [bodily] fluid, Corpse Pursuer Bat's secretion, Tilunt/Tyrant's [bodily] fluid, and Nightshade’s root and you must collect 10 of each ingredient. You can find the Corpse Pursuer is at Execution Ground, Tyrant/Tilunt is in the Wasteland region, Nightshade root can be collected from the Staccatos at Cruma Swamp. First go to Wasteland and hunt the Head Tyrant and Tyrant to collect Tilunt/Tyrant's Sap. There are many mobs where the first part of the name is on the map is there are many aggressive monsters, so be careful. Go towards Cruma swamp and around the Tower itself, you should see the Marsh Stakato, Marsh Stakato Drone, Marsh Stakato Worker, and Marsh Stakato Fighter you can collect 10 of the Nightshade's Root from those mobs. In the same area as the Marsh Stakato's, you will see the Swamp Spider kill them to get 10 of the Swamp Spider's fluid. Go to the execution ground and kill the Dead Seeker from which you get Corpse Pursuer Bat's Secretion. Go to Giran next and exit thru the east entrance follow the road, until you can see Medusa, kill her to collect 10 of the quest item Medusa's Blood. Once you return to Ixia, she will make the quest item Belladonna. Which you must take it back to Monk Metheus in Giran. Metheus will give you the quest item Elder's Skull which you need to take back to Magister Kaira in the Dark Elf guild. Kaira will tell you to go find the elder's descendant Magister Roa at the Human Wizard guild in Giran. After talking to her go to Gludin Town and talk to the Warehouse Keeper Norman. He will give you a book as a quest item. Now you have to return to Kaira. Who will tell you to go to the Dark Elven Village and find High Tetrarch Thifiell. He will send you to go to Sorceress Akenia at the Dark Elf Initiation Altar. She will tell you collect the quest item Red Fairy Dust and Ti Mi Riran's Sap. To get those items you must talk to a bloody pixie and Ti Mi Riran. There should be some in the area surrounding the altar. Ti Mi Riran will ask you to kill Black Willow Lurker and the bloody pixie tells you it will give you the red fairy dust only if you kill the following: Grandis, Karul Bugbear, Breka Orc Warlord, Leto Lizardman. You can find the black willow lurker by the Swamps close to the DE village. The Breka Orc Warlord can be found in the Giran town area on the right side on the road to Dragon Valley. Once you collect the items from the pixie and Ti mi ran talk to the Akenia then go to the High Tetrarch Thifiell to get the final quest item, Fate's Voucher.

3. JUDGEMENT OF WITCHCRAFT

The quest begins at Dragon Valley with Orim. Orim will ask you to go collect 6 jewels and come back. First, go to Giran Castle Town and speak with the boutique store keeper Alexandria. Next, you have to go to the Mage's Guild and find Magister Iker.
Iker will want you to go collect the following: 20 Dire Wyrm's teeth, 20 Leto Lizardman's amulets, 20 Strengthened Iron Golem's stone heart. You can find the Iron Golems by the Ivory Tower, the Dire Wyrm by the Sea of Spores and the Leto Lizarman below Oren. Once you have collected these items she will give you the first jewel. Go to Gludin Village and talk to Trader Nestle. She will tell you to talk to Leopold in Gludin too. He will tell you to go to Wasteland and kill Skeleton Mercernary. Kill them so that you can get the last 3 jewels. Go find Orim again, he will tell you to go and get Crystal of Restraint and a Sealed Sword. If you go find Magister Iker again, you will give you the crystal. Now go to Gludin Village and talk to Sir Karrel Vasper, he will tell you to go to Oren Castle Town and find Badin at the Temple. Badin will then tell you to go collect 20 Tamrin Orc amulets. You can find them south of the road on the way to Hunter's Village, past the cave. Once you give Badin the amulets, you have to return to Vasper in Gludin. After talking to him you will return back to Orim in Dragon Valley to go kill Jejuel who is hidden in Fisherman Evert. He is at Floran Village. You have to seal Jejuel using the sealed sword. When you seal him , return to Orim to get the final voucher for the quest and complete it. You have just completed the last part to becoming a Shilen knight.

Okay this is gonna be quick because im resting in-game ^^
I play server #4 and lately I have betrayed my clan over Adena and have made an alt char while my prime goes on holiday ^^

Anyway I am a d/e archer and twinked with highest 0 grade gear (comp/MP armour) anyway fight your way to 10 - should take 2-3hrs MAX

Go to elmore (orc town) Cave of Trails (buy a map) inside cave the first room is full of salamanders and there is a lava pit which contains a 3 mobs re-spawn 30secs

Go to the wall and camp between the lava pit, and open fire ^^ they are lvl 17-18 mobs and drop 150k books/bow of forest gear etc. I'm nearly lvl 20 now and its taken me a night, boring boring boring, but no deaths and you can research the net while you wait for MP — IT ROCKS!!

I can buy the highest d-grade bow when i hit 20 woohoo, P.S

I have used bots in retail and ONLY in CoT –> its always empty beside china farmers and they dont give a **** if you dont get in there way, there is a secret waLL with a lvl 35?? evil eye lord boss guy, behind him and infront are good bot areas -> not many people know about it!!!!

Here are some great leveling tips for all you Silver/Phantom Rangers out there.

What You'll Need:

a. At least an Ice Bow (Eminence even better). Str Long Bows/Akat Bows are not recommended due to their extremely slow shooting speed.
b. A decent set of armor, Theca is recommended but enchanted Manticore will do in a pinch. If you get theca, make sure to get the boots too for a +75 p.def boost.
c. As many soulshots as you can carry.

Stack up your inventory with around 800 arrows, and as many c-ss you can carry, and a few scroll of escapes for the needed restocks in Dion. Now, head into Cruma Tower, and make your way up to level 2.

Once you hit level 2 in Cruma head down the ramp and make an immediate right, then into the first room. Be extremely careful, as there are aggro Torfes here! If they catch you off guard you could be in trouble. The room is usually camped on most servers, so you shouldn't have much trouble, if it is camped, just make your way through the room carefully.

Once through the first room you'll come to a huge huge rectangular shaped room (again watching out for a lone Torfe), and skirt your way around the room TO THE LEFT until you come to a long empty bridge. This is your camping spot of choice. This bridge has ZERO spawns, and is a great place to kite level 48-52 mobs from the large rectangular room you navigated through.

**HINT: A single Torfe spawns right by the entrance to the bridge. Be extra careful when running into the large room from the bridge, as a Torfe may be lurking!**

These are the mobs to target:

a. Diors
b. Death Knights

These are the mobs to ignore:

a. Torfes (too fast in C1, can be soloed but you will be hit a bit too much)
b. Golems (close to impervious to arrows like most golems)

Both DKs and Diors can be easily outrun/kited by a Silver Ranger/Phantom Ranger. Both of these mobs give you between 4000-5000 xp per kill. I leveled a Silver Ranger here mostly SOLO, from level 40-50 EXTREMELY quickly. Nowhere else in the entire realm can compare to this spot. The XP is amazing, but pulling this off does require a bit of skill and trepidation in avoiding the torfes. Torfes can be killed as well solo, but they have sped up a bit since prelude. If you do get a torfe on you, it will require a lot more kiting distance than Diors or Death Knights.

**HINT: Between Level 40-42 you may miss death knights quite a bit, throw on your "Accuracy" skill and this tendency will disappear. You will require more rest to regen MP, but avoiding death is much more useful than saving MP!**

This strategy is best used when spamming soulshots. I realize this costs money, but with the high amount of Adena dropped by mobs…..you don't lose a TON of money. You will be in the negative, but I for one am not opposed to "paying" for leveling in this stage of the game. Once you are level 50 you won't have much issue pulling in 100-200k Adena per hour in drops solo in places like the cemetary.

Who says Cruma isn't for solo artists? It's GREAT for solo archers! Please leave feedback on this post, this is a tried and true method. Simply the best spot in the game to level QUICKLY for a skilled DE/Elven Archer. Good luck…and careful with the Torfes!

This guide is for levels 1-15 Orc Fighter.

I tend to see that most websites do not have adequate information regarding Orcs. This can discourage a lot of people when trying out a new character race/class so I am going to help ease the people’s fears of the unknown…

Here is a list, in order, of the skills you need to get. You cannot train until level 5, so don’t worry about it till you’re that level.

Iron Punch 1 – 60 SP
Iron Punch 2 – 60 SP
Relax – 190 SP
Iron Punch 3 – 60 SP
Armor Mastery – 190 SP
Weapon Mastery – 190 SP
Iron Punch 4 – 450 SP
Iron Punch 5 – 450 SP
Iron Punch 6 – 450 SP
Armor Mastery 2 – 700 SP
Armor Mastery 3 – 700 SP
Weapon Mastery – 1400 SP

Levels 1 – 4:
To begin with, you are in 1 of the 2 buildings in the Orc starting town. The first is the Temple of Paagrio. After the first quest, you won’t need to come back here for a while. When you load in, take the quest from the Tokum Priest of Fire or Shela Priestess of Fire in the area.
Orc Tutorial Quest-
Go out and kill crimson cats until you have 4 fangs and return immediately to quest NPC. You will receive a voucher and give it to Guardian of Flame Vullkus at the west end of the area. Reward- Elmore Map.
You should be around level 2 or 3. Proceed out the building and head towards the second building, the Orc Village. You should hunt around the Temple and head towards the rim of the Village killing crimson cats and elder crimson cats. The farther u travel from the building, the harder the monsters will be. At level 4, you should be killing elder crimson cats.

Levels 5 – 6:
Upon receiving level 5, head into the Orc Village toward the north exit and talk to the guard Praetorian Rukain to receive a quest.
Proof of Valor Quest-
Go out and kill Kasha Wolves until you receive 50 Kasha Wolf Fangs. This might seem like a lot, but wolves drop sometimes 2 and you are getting good xp. Once you receive 50 fangs, return to the NPC. Reward- Necklace of Valor (This quest is a must! It is a prerequisite to a later quest).
After receiving that, return to the Kasha wolves and kill them. The exp is good and they spawn very quickly. At level 6, return to the Orc village to pick up another quest. The NPC is located in the main building, in the southern chamber.
Wrath of Ancestors-
Talk to Seer Livina and get the quest. Now return to the Kasha wolf area, but head out farther. You should find goblin grave robbers. They might be a little difficult at first, but continue to kill them. After you get 50 heads, you can either continue to kill them for exp or return and get the quest again. Reward- 1500 Adena.
Kill goblins until you are level 7. Save all the Adena you are getting and do not buy anything. The money will be spent very soon, so you can wait a little.

Levels 7-9:
Upon receiving level 7, continue to kill goblins and also start killing Rakeclaw Imps. They give better exp but are a little harder. Be looking around for people selling ‘Spiked Gloves’. They should sell for around 500 Adena and are better than the first weapon. The path you are taking should be heading towards the cost to the south. As you head down the cost, you might be able to kill Kasha Timber Wolves. Do not take any more quests. The only thing you should be spending your money on is return scrolls when you finish quests. Just continue to exp until you are level 9 and then return to town to start the path making the ‘Real Adena’. Go to Prefect Bruknurse, he is one of the fighter trainers, and get the quest.
Skirmish with Werewolves-
This quest is what will make you the majority of the money, but u have to do it a certain way. Pick up the quest and go to the werewolves. They are located along the shore heading to the south. Head out the south gate and head to the coast and then head south. Once you find the Maraku Werewolves, commence killing! You will receive heads each kill, but u MUST delete them and do not reach the total of 40. You are looking for Totem drops, which sell for 600 Adena a piece and only drop when you are on the quest. Keep deleting the heads and keep killing. You might come upon an ‘Iron Glove’. Keep one and use it and the rest, sell them for around 8 -10k.

This is a pretty simple thing to do, tested it out just earlier and works great. Took me 3 tries, but I got in.

**MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A SCROLL OF ESCAPE BEFORE DOING THIS**

This works on any castle, but I got it to work with Dion Castle. Use your *ARROW KEYS* and continuously run into the door. While running, hit alt+x then "restart". Now log back in, and you should be in the castle. You can run into the throne rooms, and all around the walls. Pretty cool to see what sieges are going to look like from the inside.

This may have been a fluke (and probably is a repost, but I couldn't find it), but it worked pretty well the 2 times I tried it.

If you get into a bad scrape with some monsters and need to bail, target a point in the distance to run to. Then on your action list, click "sit". Now pull up the "Exit Game" menu. Wait on the OK/Cancel screen until your character starts to sit down. While they're in the process of sitting, you're technically not fighting, so hit the "OK" button to log out.

Go play your alt for a while until someone else has killed the monster or it wanders off.

Interesting tidbit of information for clan leaders.

As we all know, leveling down is absolutely horrible. However, for clan leaders there is actually a large benefit to leveling down at certain points in the game. Here is one such intance…..

I ran across a fellow in game who was constantly getting killed by a town guard (at least 20+ times as I was watching). I struck up a conversation with him, and he explained a few things to me….

1. You do not lose ANY skills gained while "leveling down". In other words, whatever skills you have learned at level 30, you would still have them if you leveled all the way down to 15.
2. You do lose your max HP/MP levels.
3. This is a common strategy on Korean servers by clan leaders to get the 500,000 SP you need to increase your clan's level to level 2 in the game.
4. You level up MUCH quicker after a significant "down leveling", since you retain your power from your higher levels. This makes leveling back up much easier than your first time around. In fact, many clan leaders repeat this process incessantly at higher clan levels in the game.

I tested this out by leveling one of my characters down to the most recent "new skill" level. (in this case 25 down to 23). And it's true, you do not lose ANY skills learned at previous levels, and I still did the same amount of damage I did at 25. No change whatsoever.

Logically, by leveling down to 15 or so, I could happily be killing Wyrms near Giran and earning 250+ SP per kill. Of course, you would need a ranged attack to accomplish this,going toe to toe with a level 35+ mob isn't a good idea. However with a fully functional Gastraphetes bow and a high level of bow mastery…….no problem at all.

I have a clan leader character whom I may retire soon, so I will likely try this out. This is confirmed as working thus far. Will update as soon as I get up the gall to level down my level 35 Dwarf.
